Just For Fun: Market Day

A temporary exhibition, sharing and ongoing archive
Unit 31, Leeds Kirkgate Market
Thurs 14th, Fri 15th & Sat 16th May
Next month I’ll be spending three full days in my favourite Leeds spot. Leeds Kirkgate Market.



I’ve recently been looking for ways to connect my work more directly with the community, and there’s no better place for it. It’ll be a casual, temporary exhibition/sharing housed in the heart of the market.

Think of it as a conversation, a work in progress and in some ways research.

Alongside my own work, I’ll be sharing photos from my Just For Fun network - where each month I set a new brief for the community to respond to, so I’m excited to share their work more broadly too.

Over the three days, they’ll be daily prompts for you to engage with, encouraging you to see the market differently and contribute to this month’s Just For Fun brief.

Come and chat with me, tell me what you love most about Leeds, the Market or any old gubbins.

I’ll be hosting this event as part of Situation Leeds Festival, which is happening throughout May and June - celebrating all things contemporary art in the public realm. Big thanks to the steering group for creating an opportunity like this, for all your time and for connecting me to the market team!

I’ll be nesting in Unit 31, Row 3 - it’s a gorgeous corner unit opposite Karpaty bakery…conveniently! See you there?
